So FanBolt got a little influx of traffic on the 7th and I was tracking down the source of it only to find one of my articles was featured on the showbiz section of… FARK! And I got an “amusing” tag. I’m a happy camper. :) How cool is that?
I’m achieving links here since they only link the last week off the site, but you can see it under July 7th here: http://www.fark.com/showbiz/ and a direct link to the comments here: http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=3718435
Now I need to figure out how to get on here more and how to get one of those graphics for FanBolt on there next to the article like everyone else has…
Research time.

So tomorrow afternoon I’ve interviewing Holly Hunter in conjunction with the series “Saving Grace”. The first thing I thought about when I confirmed for the interview was the horrible interview that Merry Miller did with her in season 1. Procastinating on work a bit, I decided to see if there had been any more horribly awkward celebrity interviews and I found this one. This is horrifying… and I can’t imagine how awful this girl must have felt…

You’re all now officially 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon, because I’m 2 degrees. :) Nic and I went to the screener of The Closer tonight at the W hotel…. which by the way is AMAZING. I took pictures of the suite that Turner got for us to do the interview in (26th floor in a 1200sq ft room). I interviewed Gina Revera (who was in episodes that Kevin Bacon directed (his my second degree standing) and his wife Krya Sedgwick is the star of the series). Super cool girl… and amazingly beautiful. Made some good connections tonight too, so I excited to follow up on those tomorrow via email!
Here’s some pics of the hotel suite… wish I had taken one of the view, it was amazing…

So Jenny sent me a link to the website for the city of Forks today. I thought it was amusing that all the Twilight fans are visiting there now. I was actually there in 2002, 3 years before the first book. We were passing through on our way to the rain forest after coming over from Victoria, BC via ferry.
I thought it was hilarious when I first read the books that the story took place in this middle of nowhere town that I didn’t even have cell reception in. We stayed in a cabin that was surrounded by woods and there was literally nothing in the town. We didn’t see sunlight once while we were there… pretty accurate with the books actually. Not sure how much it’s changed since, but I can’t image it’s changed a lot. The next day we also stopped in LA Push, and we walked along the beach a bit. This was all pre-digital camera days for me. The only digital photos I had from the trip were taken with my video camera… crappy quality. And the rest were taken by my film camera. There’s a ton of those pictures… all at home. I’ll try to get my parents to bring them up this weekend so I can scan some of them. But I have to say it was kind of cool knowing how everything was laid out and actually having been there.
Here’s the only pictures I have on my computer from the that part of the trip.

I’ll try to scan some of the other ones if I can find them! :)

You all know my obsession by now. Here’s a video about the upcoming movie that is quite good… better than the trailer in my opinion. Jenny and Sara… you guys should enjoy this. :)

I went down to Brunswick for the 4th to hang out with Jenny. We ended up laying on the beach on Jekyll watching fireworks Friday night with her parents, her brother and his gf. It was a great show.
We spent the rest of the weekend back and forth from St. Simons, the house, the bookstore, and the movie theater. (btw- Hancock isn’t that bad… at least not as bad as I thought it would be.) Here’s the photos from the weekend:

The only hair color I have left to do is black again… but this time with a pink streak. Maybe I’ll hold off on that one till after Sara’s wedding. :)
