snow day #2.

dscn4222.jpg

This is simply unheard of. Snow twice in one year? Much less one week! Enjoy it while it last my fellow Atlantians because it’ll be many years before we see anymore of this white substance falling from the sky that we see so much of it movies.

Today, Andy and I embarked on the creation of snow thing #2. This time, bigger visions, new techniques to apply… we were hopeful. Still, when one sees Pablo, they will undoubtedly know that he was made by southerns. With that being said, most people cannot say they have see such an artistically shaped snowman… this was completely intentional. *coughs*

Here’s the visual documentation of snow day #2.

The warning.

The beginning of something beautiful.

dscn4233.jpg

Ladies and gentlemen… I give you Pablo.

img_9500.jpg

Roxy was a bit unsure of his stability, she insisted on testing him out.

img_9476.jpg

Though Roxy’s testing was completely necessary as anyone could see that Pablo had extreme stability issues.

img_9504.jpg

Despite his flaws, I still found myself quite fond of the little guy.

img_9508.jpg

Looking at him brought on the need to ponder many of Picasso’s great creations.

img_9509.jpg

We had a photo oppt with another resident who lives in the complex, she seemed very impressed with Pablo… but I mean, how could you not be impressed? He’s by the largest snowman that we’ve ever created, separately or together. Leonard anyone?

img_9459.jpg

And of course, we had to take a picture to document the completion of the trials and tribulation that filled the day.

new header graphic.

Pics from drifrwood beach at Jekyll, the rest was drawn and then edited via the wonderful photoshop. I think it was time for a little spiffying up the old blog. I think it fits better. :)

musings from roxy.

img_9437.jpg

“What is this stuff? I vaguely remember a similar substance when I was a pup… but it was so long ago…”

img_9430.jpg

“Seems fluffy… I shall consider laying down.”

img_9431.jpg

“Mistake! Too Cold!”

img_9432.jpg

“The strangers over there keep making those “aw” noises mom always makes…”

img_9433.jpg

“What happened to the warm weather last week? I miss it.”

img_9436.jpg

“Why does mom keep hitting Andy with it and he keeps missing her?”

I humor myself. :)

rockband- stage kit

rockband-stagekit.jpg

So my old employer is taking preorders for the RockBand Stage Kit which comes out on June 23rd. Why should Nic purchase this in addition to Rock Band? Simple. It’s an add-on that provides an “interactive light and smoke stage show” which is apparently synced to the game while you play. I mean, how can you say no to that?

dwiftwood beach.

Jenny and I visited the beach in hopes of finding one of the little glass orbs they hide on the beach during the months of January and February. For info on the orbs go here.

Later, while photo editing, we noticed something in one of the pictures. Jenny refuses to believe it was an orb. It’s too painful for her to think she was that close to finding one. But I think the picture speaks for itself.

dsc00058.jpg

We didn’t find any of the orbs… at least we didn’t find any while we were there :\ , but what we did find was a photographer’s heaven. Jenny’s mom let me borrow her Nikon SLR, which was AMAZING by the way. Here’s some of my pictures from the outing. I still think my favorite is the one in the pic from the post below.

I gave up on trying to find the orb.

And one of the adorable photographer team… one of who has EXTREMELY frizzy hair. Gotta love Georgia humidity. I know I do.

And then there was Nessie.

The Nikon’s battery peaced out while we were out there, so I’ve got a decent amount with my pink camera to upload as well. So more pics laterz. Need sleep.

amazing.

Jenny and I found the most photogenic place on the entire planet.

More of my grand photography from the outing later.

a couple more from new years.

So Sara and Caitlyn uploaded their pictures from New Years. Here’s a couple of the cute ones.

I inspected Jenny’s new laptop. All was good.

new years 2008.

So it’s now officially 2008. Which is just crazy.

I finally got to experience the peach drop, though by the time we walked from my apartment to Marta at 14 street and actually got down to underground they had the whole area blocked off and we had to walk down an additional 3 blocks to be somewhere where we could actually stand. We all watched the coke clock…. which was off.

We had a pretty awesome night though. Todd, Alexandra, and Nic came over to hang with Andy and I earlier in the day. We watched the Tech game and then Nic, Brad, Andy, and I met up with Sara and Joe and had pizza. We arrived back at my apartment at which time Andy’s sister Caitlyn joined us along with her friend Aaron.

Once everyone had arrived our liquor collection grew quite by rather impressive leaps and bonds.

dscn4043.jpg

We played Taboo, talked, consumed the above drinks, took pics….

dscn4046.jpg

I told Joe to do his “epic” look. It took him a little while :)

dscn4051.jpg

This was I think the only picture of Sara and I from that night where my skin is not actually glowing…

dscn4057.jpg

Here’s some of us downtown, Andy’s hat made it in the top of the picture.

dscn4063.jpg

See? The peach has dropped, the fireworks are going off, and the clock says 11:58. Of all times for your clock to be wrong…

dscn4073.jpg

Andy and Caitlyn.

dscn4079.jpg

I was pretty impressed with Caitlyn’s friend and her ability to walk the entire evening in heels. Not a chance I could ever do that. I wore my sneakers and I’m still hobbling around like a cripple days later.

dscn4083.jpg

Cuteness.

dscn4084.jpg

We managed to talk the anti-social Josh into coming over. Jen came with and made me feel slightly better about my non-existent singing abilities.

dscn4088.jpg

I dedicated a song to Andy…

dscn4094.jpg

Nic and I… both so pale that we are likely to blind people.

dscn4095.jpg

We have angst.

dscn4098.jpg

And that picture pretty much sums up our evening.

It was a good night. The company was awesome, the Marta experience… well you guys all know my story… and ending the night playing Halo…. good times, good times.
