So here we go… not great, but it’s done with 3 separate images. Give me another week and this will be in the bag.
I think that the street lights are messing me up a bit, I need a place where I can photograph the city and not have streetlights… like on a mountain or something…. yeah I know. damn. :)
I’m inlove and obsessed. :) I’m still learning what all it takes to create the images, how they have to be shot, how you can make due with current pictures for a different effect…. It’s very cool. Here’s a taste of playing around with it on day 1.

So these are rough samples, so they’re not great quality, but it gives you an idea of what can be done. These levels though are all artificial, so they’re not as mind-blowing as they could be. That comes next. :)

So it’s official. FanBolt is an acknowledged news source. I received the email from Google informing me that within the next few weeks, FanBolt entertainment news will be filtered into Google News until my inventory is regularly crawled by them for inclusion. This is just freaking incredible, and I look forward to seeing the traffic that will bring to the site.
So I’m finally taking my first photography class. I made Nic and Andy drive around the city looking for good places to take photos that would work for the assignments, Here’s two of my faves:
I think the one of Andy is my favorite, I just love the composition on it as well as the different textures. But the coloring in the Highland sign pic is quite beautiful as well.
You know I often think… 10 or 12… even 16 megapixels just isn’t enough. What’s the answer to that you ask? That’s as good as it gets right now? Oh no my friend. How about 160MP? That’s what the new Seitz D3 6 x 17 is packing. Freakin’ 160MP! It’s a mere 4.5 lb camera that takes pics with 7,500 x 21,250 pixel resolution at just under a gig in size.
The downside. It’s freakin’ huge and costs $44,414. I have to wonder about the lenses you could use with this…..
So I’m going to be interning this summer and fall for Ellie. She’s an amazing designer, and an even cooler person. I went with her today to the Mart downtown. I’m sure all of you have seen the AmericasMart buildings downtown. They’re between Spring and Peachtree Street around Baker and Harris. There’s 3 huge buildings altogether, soon to be a 4th. You can only get in if you’re a designer, buyer, or guest of one. Needless to say, I’ve wanted to go since I was like 14, and it was really cool to finally go.
I got to see Ellie’s current collection in the showroom which was really awesome. I think my favorite pieces are her jackets, they have a really cool cut to them and I LOVE the fabric she used. I really love the tuxedo dress she has in black chiffon too, but she wasn’t showing that one. Anywho, it was really cool seeing how designers have their stuff displayed in showrooms and how buyers come in and place orders for their stores. It’s such an overwhelming place, I think there was like 13 floors… it was just massive.
Every designer/brand that I liked, with the exception of Petro Zillia had a section there. Free People, my trademark hippie brand had a large section and I actually got to see the entire summer collection that hasn’t even gone into production yet…. some were still in sketch format. How freakin cool is that? I meet a lot of cool people, got some cards, and all together had a fabulous time. :)
I love the world of fashion. :)
You know what makes me mad? Screener dvds that make you sit through 10 minutes of trailers without the option to skip them. Totally not cool.
I got an fashion internship for summer and fall with an incredible designer.
Life is good. :)

The clip with the two girls in it, I think it’s 3 or 4 is pretty amusing though. I shall sum it up for you:
skeptic : “are you trained to view the sky”
girl: “no, I don’t really care about it.”
skeptic: “well then you aren’t qualified to say what you saw”
girl: “I know what I saw, it blocked out the stars! It was one solid ship!”
skeptic: “It was flares”
Rumors of sightings last night in Jacksonville as well… I’m getting all giddy with all the sightings :) We need a huge one over Atlanta that will put the whole Phoenix Lights incident to shame.
