alexandra’s photoshoot

Here are my favorites from the shoot. I took about 400 all together, and probably about 300 of them are awesome. Alexandra is extremely photogenic and she knows exactly the poses and looks to do which made for a great shoot. These will be awesome additions to my portfolio.

awesome weekend.

Friday night was the big block party. Good times were had. Everyone wanted their picture with Andy and I…. I especially loved the people that tried to talk about the books with us, considering neither one of us have read them. Andy managed to change someone’s opinion that had read the books. That was rather amusing. :)

We acted out scenes from the internet pictures.

Agnes was a pirate. I relabeled her the 80’s pirate.

The foreign girls.

The really pathetic guy trying to empress the foreign girls with his knowledge of Swedish…. ya?

We ran into June.

Harry. Hermione. Ron gone bad.

Sara was extremely stoked to meet Harry and Hermione. But you really can’t blame her. :)

We tracked down Ron… Though he acquired his robe through Ebay, so we’re actually not sure how legit he is.

Here’s 3 of us, that’s one more person than there was houses taking part in the block party. I felt the need to keep pointing that out throughout the evening.

Facebook promised 6 houses. Not 2….. I still awarded him most creative costume.

It was an awesome night.

Saturday Alexandra and Todd took me to lunch and then I did some head shots of her, those were awesome and I’ll upload some here tomorrow. She looked beautiful.

Saturday night, Andy, Nic, Joe, Sara, Sara’s mom, and myself attended the Stars concert. That was pretty awesome. We ran into Evan there which was funny because I was actually the person who first told him about Stars back last April. The concert was awesome, the lead singer was pretty trashed which was entertaining for the audience to watch. Towards the end he started twirling the mic cord and the mic was swinging pretty far out. I turned to Andy and Nic and said “this never ends well.” A moment thereafter, the bass player was hit in the chest with the mic only after it narrowly missed his head on the last go around.

They threw out flowers to the crowd throughout the show, which I was determined to get. I did. Evan grabbed it to, breaking off most of the flowers…. *makes a note not tell Evan of other cool bands*. lol :)

The later activities that took place on Saturday evening were mostly humorous and entirely secret. :)

I photographed them and a couple other bands tonight. It’s pretty late so I’m only posting 2 tonight. I took over 800 images since it was at Smith’s Old Bar, and they don’t make you stop after 3 songs, so I shot off and on throughout the whole show. The pictures turned out AMAZINGLY well. It’s 9 kinds of awesome. :)

Afterwards, I introduced Nic and myself to the bands, they were all super cool. I have to say Carmen from I Nine is one of the cutest girls I’ve ever met. She’s absolutely adorable, and her expressions while singing made for some great photos. I’ll upload more later!

Some of them look a little grainy because I didn’t adjust the action for this batch in photoshop, but after editing 4,000 images today, making pretty blog images didn’t seem as important. :) The HQ are nice though. I took about 330 images last night, these are my fave though because of the lighting.

icelandic horses.

They are awesome. I love them. I also love hay lofts; they’re super cool too. :) I’ve taken a ton of pics, I’ll upload more tomorrow night.

happy bday to meeeee.

It’s 12:21 on my birthday, still have several more hours to go before I’m truly 24.

Goodbye to the young 20’s…..hello to the middle 20’s…. it’s not so bad though when you spend the evening drinking wine and eatin steaks, laughing, and laying out under the clearly visible milky way with the guy you love.

Not to mention the party on Friday night, and how awesome my friends are. :)

Honestly, if this is turning 24. I want to do it every day. :)

halo time

halotime.jpg

I’ve been MIA due to work, school, and Nic buying an Xbox360 and a copy of Halo 3. We beat it the first night he got it. That’s how we roll. :)

The game seemed short to me. We beat it in about 6 hours. Only checked out two of the multiply player maps thus far, I will say I like those better with 3 than with 2 (based on tonight’s playing). But none will ever beat damnation from Halo 1. :) Another aspect worthy of note is the weapon I like to call the “man hammer”. It’s pretty awesome. :)

On that note, I may be doing an interview on Monday with entrepreneur.com about Halo 3. Keep your fingers crossed for me. That would make an excellent birthday present. :)
