me and misha collins… kind of.
I keep finding videos from Comic Con that I’m in. Sometimes it’s just my elbow - like when Jimmy Fallon was interviewing my man - Josh Holloway. But here - you can see me waiting patiently on Misha to finish up and come chat with me. You can also see a not so patient Nic looking bored out of his mind and peering out of the curtain looking for a chance to escape. Ah. Memories. :-)
emma & the supernatural.
So as basically all of you know - I attended Comic Con ‘09 in San Diego last week. I interviewed the cast and creators of Twilight, Burn Notice, Dollhouse, 24, Bones, Chuck, Lost, Fringe, Vampire Diaries, Astro Boy, Paper Hearts, and …. Supernatural. My personal favorite. :-) Here’s a few select images from me interviewing Eric Kripe, Misha Collins, Sera Gamble, and Jim Beaver…
Question: Eric, how come you only get positive emails from the Christian fundamentalists while I get emails about how all the writers on the show are going to hell for their portrayal of God and the angels?
JK. Though when I asked that question it wasn’t worded much differently ;-)
Lots more to come….
skating in asheville.
Andy and I made the paper up here. :) The two images are below.
Along with children, there were parents, grandparents and couples. Andrew Kerr, 24, and Emma Loggins, 25, were making slow loops around center of the rink. They had no trouble identifying the better skater.
“Emma is world-class, and I can barely keep myself upright,” Kerr said.
Loggins, who learned to skate in Atlanta, has competed in figure skating before and said she plans to do it again. As for advice, she suggested tying on skates tightly, keeping laces from dragging on the ice and “If you fall, don’t put your hands out.”
That’s to avoid skate blades, she said.
asheville.
Here’s the pictures from the Asheville weekend. We had a great weekend staying with Andy’s aunts and uncle. There was horseback riding through the valley and on the mountain ridge (I even galloped), tennis playing (which we both sucked at), amazing food, even more amazing wine, and just all in all an awesome trip. The only thing that would have made it better was if we spent more time up there.
On our way.

Dinner in Asheville at our favorite restaurant.

The view of the barn.

Entertaining myself (I like my shadow.. :)).

Riding time.

Horses.

Bonding time. :)

I have some more artisy pics that I took with the good camera that I’ll upload later!
summer 08 recap #1(aka all the pictures I just downloaded)
So I finally downloaded pictures from the Nikon. Meaning I’ve got a ton of blog updating to do…
This summer I started sewing and crocheting. Andy’s cousin Veronica taught me the crocheting. I’ll throw a picture of the snazzy scarf up when it’s finished. Veronica will be proud. Here’s a shirt that I altered from an XXL down to fit me. I tapered it to have a custom fit and be a bit more of a tunic with a punk-esque neckline.

Twilight release party that FanBolt covered in Decatur. (Beth, Nic, Joe, Sara, Jenny, and myself) Don’t we look slick in our shirts? :) Credit to Jenny’s cam for this pic. Remember the girl that took this pic? Her friends and her kept asking to take pictures of us. They were super sweet.

My godson Joshua turned 1.

Saw a rainbow….

Went on a roadtrip with Andy to visit his grandparent’s.

Their farm flooded this summer. It was horrible the amount of destruction… Here’s where the levy broke.

My favorite coffee shop in Quincy.
I went antiquing with Andy’s grandmother, aunt, and cousin. I freaked out when I found glasses (Betty and Barney) that I had gotten from Pizza Hut in 1st grade.
Andy and at the Mark Twain cave…

Round 2 coming shortly!
stars, satellites, and meteors.
It was a couple nights short of a full moon, but I still got some great shots being so far away from the city. The satellite and meteor are easily spottable. This was shot at 800 ISO for a 1 minute exposure.

sunsets on the farm.
I’ve been up in Quincy, Illinois for the last week with Andy visiting his grandparents farm. I’ll upload more pictures later, but this one is the sunset over their farm from their house up on the bluff. The water you see is from the flood that occurred earlier this summer. It was horrible seeing all the damage that had been done…
